Main Beach Progress Association Update and Community Notice

On behalf of the Committee of the Main Beach Progress Association, we wish you all a safe and very Merry Xmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Monday December 17, 2018, saw a good crowd of residents and business owners in Main Beach’s Shuck Restaurant on Tedder Avenue, as members of the Committee introduced the Draft Main Beach Strategic Plan to the locals and representatives from Gary Baildon’s Division 7 office.

Dan Barr, from consultancy Better Cities Group offered a round table presentation while committee members circulated prior and after though the regulars.
The groups noted that this type of conceptual plan had not been done before and noting that it provided sound guidelines for the future of Main Beach.

“The’ Entry’ plans still needs some work following community input,” notes secretary Georgie Brown, and we hope to have Stage1 fully completed by the middle of January.

Earlier in the day, Paul Donovan, noted Tedder Ave enthusiast and recently re-elected Chair Gold Coast Tourism gave a rousing  endorsement of the Main Beach Progress Associations project and the ideas and opportunities presented therein..  The first stage is due for completion mid February for presentation the  various stakeholders.
