Juliana has recently set up her beautiful clinic “Lymph4You” at 6 Tedder Avenue, Main Beach. We spoke to Juliana and this is what she had to say:

What did you do before you started your business and what prompted you to start it:
I am Brazilian and I moved here in December 2016 with a very poor English speaking level. I have a degree in Physiotherapy, however the only thing I was allowed to do in Australia with my degree was massage.

I started to work for a massage company in March 2017 after my ability to speak English improved. I always knew I could do more with the knowledge I have and often felt extremely frustrated because of this. I knew I was more capable in helping people with the knowledge I gained throughout the years of university.

With this constant feeling in the back of my mind; I decided to talk with my current boss at that time. I told her about a Brazilian technique called lymphatic drainage and explained all its benefits and offered to teach her. Long story short, after I taught her the technique she doubled her profit in 6 months. I had finally discovered a way to use my knowledge to help others and used this as my calling to open my own clinic.

Tell us about your business. What do you have to offer and to whom:
My business is called Lymph4you. I came up with this name playing with the words lymphatic drainage and lymphatic system and FOR YOU because Lymphatic drainage is good for basically everyone. I developed my own technique based on my endless studies with the human body anatomy, physiology and even pathology. I believe the majority of my clients become interested in my work at first because of the aesthetic results, as it can make the client look skinnier and more defined even after one session at times. This is due to the massages ability to help with fluid retention, bloating and cellulite. I also believe that all my clients return because of the inner benefits.

Lymphatic drainage goes beyond offering aesthetic results, it’s also about our health. The lymphatic system is connected with all other systems in our body and working on it clears out the excess waste and toxins. This gives the ability for optimal function of your body. It helps people with digestive issues such as IBS, Chron’s disease, hormonal imbalances caused by menopause, stress, endometriosis, PCOS and also women experiencing fertility issues.

I changed from a solo trade into a company, which allowed me to save enough money on my own to open a Wellness Hub in Main Beach. My wellness Hub has 4 massage rooms and an infrared sauna. I am the first wellness clinic in Australia to offer a magnesium thermal body wrap, which is my signature treatment. This treatment is coupled with the use of the sauna and followed by a lymphatic drainage massage.

What are your plans and strategies for the remainder of 2021 and beyond:
