Billie Wilde

Billie, a Main Beach local, entertained us from her balcony whilst we were in lockdown in 2020 with her beautiful voice bringing joy to us Villagers.

For over four decades Billie has been sought after around the globe as the headline performer for international corporate functions, major hotels, cruise ships, musicals and large-scale events.

Bille is the international author of the book How Mice Can Roar – Unlock the Amazing Power of Your Voice.

She is recognised as an expert in the field of high level performance skills, stagecraft, microphone and vocal techniques.

Bille comes from a long line of entertainers and has spend many years in the industry teaching voice and drama classes at renowned performing arts schools in Australia including the ‘Johnny Young Talent School’ in Sydney.

She has made regular television appearances including The Don Lane Show, Mike Walsh, Ray Martin, John Singleton, IMT, The Good Morning Show, Hey! Hey! It’s Saturday! and a variety of Bert Newton hosted shows and televised charity shows.

Billie has performed with celebrities such as Peter Allen, Hohn Farnham, Kate Ceberano, Peter Cupples, Frankie Laine, Ronnie Corbett, Nelson Sardelli, Kamahl, Barry Croker, Tommy Tycho and James Morrison just to name a few.

A highlight of Billie’s career was performing with Peter Cupples, 16 David Atkins Dancers and a 76-piece orchestra as the opening act for the Frank Sinatra Concert, which had a live audience of around 55,000 plus many millions on television globally.

She has taught, entertained and travelled the world extensively touring in over seven different countries including the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.

Over the years Billie has performed lead roles in musicals such as Cabaret, Hello Dolly, Phantom of the Opera, 42nd Street, The Wizard of Oz and Little Shop of Horrors.  She has also created several choirs and a cappella groups, delighting audiences both young and old around the nation.

Billie lives in Main Beach and enjoys our village lifestyle with her husband Dougall.
