Destination Main Beach Ambassadors Tour
After being delayed twice due to Covid restrictions, some of the DMB Ambassadors finally had a chance to put the Day Tour Experience through the hoops, it was decided we would choose –
The Sunday lunch Wine Tasting Tour on Tamborine Mountain
And so it began ….
- 8:45am We all meet at Le Jardin Café (10 of us)
- 9:15am Gold Coast Holiday Experiences tour bus arrives to break up the Le Jardin Coffee fest, which I might add was getting quite rowdy and the “on-tour” personalities were already beginning to express themselves.
- 9:25am Daren shows his hand as a very experienced tour guide and begins a 5 min orientation to the bus
- 9:30am Off we go!
- 10:45am Arrive Witches Falls Winery (after Daren’s running commentary about different landmarks along the way). We are treated to some very nice wine tastings paired with some yummy cheeses, along with a very informative description of the wines.
- 11:30am Arrive Hampton Estate Wines for tastings and a wonderful lunch. A roaring fire keeps us warm while we dine, and we really could have the stayed for the rest of the day, but our driver was ready to transport us to our next experience.
- 2.15pm Arrive Cedar Creek Estate for yet more tasting of wines (but wait, there’s more!) sitting around the barrel with a warm fire at our backs.
- 3.15pm Arrive Tamborine Mountain Distillery for some very special Liqueur and Schnapps tastings. Everyone enjoyed a little sample of a few of their very large range of Liqueurs ‘down the hatch’ whilst sharing a joke or two with the friendly staff!
- 5.15pm Arrived back in Main Beach, all a little mellowed from a fabulous day on the mountain, after stopping for photo opportunities, and sing-along to good ol’ Aussie tunes in the bus ride home.

Winery Tour Extraordinaire!! Mount Tambourine 40 mins from Main Beach. BIG Thank you to our Fabulous Tour Guide DAREN who provided us with the most amazing day from the time we stepped on the bus till we stepped off.
Destination Main Beach Crew arranged with Daren for 10 of us, so much fun & laughter, great wine & liqueurs, superb luncheon, open fire, good fun loving people, fabulous music, superb weather. Thanks to Covid we can support our local tour specialist!! Recommend you get a group together asap.
