Our preferred provider is Queensland Medical Laboratories [QML], however we can send your pathology samples to any lab your referring doctor requests (for example, Sullivan Nicolaides [S&N]).

QML – Queensland Medical Laboratories
We collect fasting blood samples each morning around 8am with results usually available the next day. Of course, other blood collecting centres are conveniently located in Southport, Surfers Paradise and across the Gold Coast. We collect urine and microbiology swabs all day with the results usually available within 2 days.

We recommend eating nothing after midnight for fasting blood tests but remember to drink plenty of water to maintain your hydration.  Tests results can be distorted by dehydration.  If you are having a test to measure your blood level of a medication please talk to the medical staff for special instructions.  This advice also applies for overnight and 24 hour urine samples.
