On the evening of Saturday, 14th October, Main Beach came alive with excitement as local businesses and their remarkable female leaders gathered for the prestigious Gold Coast Girls in Business Award night at the Southport Sharks. The event was a true celebration of the outstanding contributions and achievements of women in business, and it brought our community closer together.

We are proud to share that two businesses with strong connections to Main Beach were among the notable nominees for these coveted awards. Sumico Photography, with its studio located upstairs at 15 Tedder Avenue in Main Beach, specialises in portrait and personal branding, and headshots. The studio is led by Sumiko Eyears, who was nominated for the award. Additionally, Moana Robinson of B Styled For Life, a business located in Price Street in Southport, specialises in colour analysis, personal styling, and life coaching, and emerged as one of the finalists. It’s a testament to the thriving and diverse businesses in our broader community.

B Styled For Life, under Moana Robinson’s guidance, was also the major sponsor of this grand event, showcasing the commitment of local businesses to supporting and empowering women in our region. The dedication of businesses like B Styled For Life to celebrate the accomplishments of women is truly commendable.

The Main Beach community had additional reasons to celebrate as two friends, Jan Cranitch from Food with Style and Tina Little from Social Jam, joined in the festivities. They were also nominated for these prestigious awards and had the honour of being finalists. Their presence at the event added to the vibrant atmosphere of celebration.

In the spirit of camaraderie, Moana Robinson hosted a gathering at her Main Beach home, where friends, including Sumiko Eyears, came together, dressed to the nines for a glamorous photoshoot. What made this occasion even more special was that Moana’s beloved dogs, Teddy and Daisy, joined in the fun, adding their own charm to the photo shoot. Moana’s daughter, Molly, and more of Moana’s friends, including their unwavering support, joined in celebrating her achievement on this special night. The evening was marked by their presence, and it highlighted the strength of the Main Beach community’s friendships.

It was an unforgettable evening, celebrating achievements, acknowledging the hard work and determination of women in business, and fostering connections between like-minded individuals. This event showcased the strength and vitality of Main Beach’s business community, and we look forward to even more incredible accomplishments in the years to come.

Congratulations to Sumiko Eyears, Moana Robinson, Jan Cranitch, Tina Little, and all the remarkable women in business with connections to Main Beach for their achievements and contributions. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of our vibrant community.

Here’s to continued success, empowerment, and more opportunities to celebrate the exceptional women in business with ties to Main Beach!
