Cozying up around the Village campfire

Destination Main beach got its start by bringing people together around a common theme, an idealistic Village square online. We focused on cozy conversation that enriched our local identity, shared values, and the aspirations that rose up from them.

People came and joined they began to talk and learn from each other. Strangers have quickly become friends. People are now Villagers who speak colloquially and with immediate and deep respect for one another.

We want to maintain this spirit in everything we do, it is the right thing. We want to help other villager members to experience it too. This feeling is good for us and it’s good for the people who have become villagers in kind, it is also very good for our Village businesses, both the ones with street visibility and also those who do not.

I think Villagers are unselfishly loyal to the things that work, things that are better than just good. Villagers that openly give more than they expect in return engender a higher meaning, purpose, and connection, not just to those who benefit from their efforts but also for themselves. I think this is what will ultimately differentiate Main Beach from other parts of the Gold Coast

Creating a great lifestyle one day at a time

We genuinely want all the Villagers here in Main Beach to have a vibrant meaningful lifestyle, that allows them to be the best they can be. We also aspire to build a Village where respect, appreciation, and recognition flow freely, a place where we celebrate and champion our champions – being a good villager is that champion.

Embracing this does create change

DMB is on a mission to create and facilitate change. We are a home for Villagers that want to bring newness into their lives – skills, people, ideas, and the opportunities they bring. This I believe positively brings newness into the lives of others as well.

We aspire to foster and carry forward the best of traditional and Main Beach within the core of change. Creating change and helping others create change, requires us all to embrace it – It’s either we take charge of the change or change will take of us, and we can all see that result daily on the news.

Every day I am committed to this idealistic Village-ing stuff, but it is also the stuff that I think can move the needle where it matters most and that is the foundations, the grassroots of our local community.  “A place where everyone knows your name.” A village that champions its champions
