Federation Walk regeneration

You may have noticed restoration works being done at Federation Walk in the area that was severely burnt in 2019. The site, immediately south of Wright Way, has been cleared of burnt logs and over 2000 plants have been put in! Council’s Natural Areas Management Unit (NAMU) is in the area constantly doing maintenance….more details to come on the latest pathway upgrade!

Join the Friends of Federation Walk and the City of Gold Coast in helping to revegetate and restore the 91 hectare Federation Walk Coastal reserve at the Spit, Main Beach. We will have 1000 trees to plant on the day.
A Council officer is in attendance on the day, all materials are supplied and the holes are pre-dug.
If you enjoy being outdoors, being part of a community, and would like to make a difference in our natural environment No experience is necessary to join.
